Regarding environment Aço Cearense contributes to monitor its waste by developing means to reuse it, transforming into the company’s consumption products, selling it and filing it for control purposes to minimize its impact as industrial waste. One of the companies integrated to Aço Cearense Group (SINBORAS – SIDERURGICA NORTE BRASIL S.A) performs a serious work aiming at the environment concerning reforesting and generation of sustainability.

Currently the 7,500 hectares planted with eucalyptus added to the 3,000 hectares under plantation, make SINOBRAS the largest reforesting company in Tocantins state as per the State Agriculture and Food Supplies Office’s official letter DFS.SEAGRO (State Agriculture Office) /Nr. 26/2007. It amounts to 12,500,000 new planted trees.
